- Actually they did. CAOS, or Commodore Amiga Operating System. Unfortunately
- CAOS couldn't be finished soon enough so a different top layer was put
- on the OS and it was named AmigaDOS.

- I always though AmigaDOS was called a DOS based on the precedent of
- MS-DOS (which I think is so named because MS-DOS is really just an
- operating system, which Microsoft bought, called QDOS, for Quick and
- Dirty Operating System).
